Youth Orchestra Auditions for the 2009 - 2010 season
August 22, 2009
Auditions will be
in Room 170, Wright Music Building
Auditions will begin
at 10.00 AM
Students should fill out
an application form prior to the audition and submit it to the Music
Preparatory Division at SFA (address is provided below). The form can
be viewed and downloaded from the link below (Acrobat
Reader required).
You may fill out the form and bring it
to the audition, however you must notify Dr. Raychev in advance of your
willingness to audition (raycheve@sfasu.edu)

Requirements:
For string
players
- One piece from Suzuki Book IV or
higher or any other piece with a similar level of difficulty.
- One of the excerpts that
can be viewed and downloaded from the links below (Acrobat
Reader required):

Violin

Viola half note = 120-144
Cello half note = 120-144
Bass half
note = 120-144
For
players other than strings
1. Solo piece that will
best represent the student technical and musical abilities.
2. The following excerpts (if you do not see your
instrument contact us for
availability)

the educational purpose to
help students prepare for the PWYO audition and should not be used for
other
reasons.
